Hotel Cancellation Policy
Cancellations received prior to 48 hours before your scheduled date of arrival will not be charged with a cancellation fee. Cancellations received less than 48 hours before your scheduled date of arrival will incur a cancellation fee equaling the cost of one night’s stay.
Parking Onsite
The Swissôtel Chicago hotel has valet parking if you plan to drive to the Annual Meeting. The overnight rate (with in and out privileges) is $52 and hourly rates are available. Additionally, the Aqua building next door to the Swissôtel has overnight parking for $30 (with no in and out privileges) and hourly rates.
Discounted Airfare for SCDA Attendees
You can receive discounts on airlines and car rentals up to 15% that have been specifically negotiated for your trip. Tickets will be issued and an e-mail will be sent confirming your itinerary. The price of your ticket(s), including a service fee, will be listed. Restrictions, fees and cancellation penalties will apply. There are three ways to book your airfare:
Transportation to/from Airport

Taxi: The Swissôtel Chicago is approximately 30-45 minutes from O’Hare International Airport and 25-30 minutes from Chicago Midway Aiport. Fares are approximately $35 to $40 one-way from O’Hare and $30 to $35 one-way from Midway.

Public Transportation: The Chicago Transit Authority’s Blue Line provides a 24-hour service between Chicago O’Hare International Airport and downtown Chicago. The Orange Line, which runs from 4:30am – 11:45pm M-Saturday and 7:00am – 11:45pm Sunday, connects Midway Airport to downtown Chicago. Tickets are available at Blue Line and Orange Line stations. GO Airport Express: Shuttles depart from O’Hare every 10–15 minutes. Loading zones are at doors 1E, 2D and 3E at the baggage claim level. Shuttles depart from Midway every 15 minutes. The ticket counter and loading zone is at DOOR 3, lower level across from baggage claim. Advance reservations are recommended; click here to make reservations online.
