Harold Berk Award

The Harold Berk Award recognizes exemplary leadership and contribution to the advancement of oral healthcare for persons with disabilities. Nominations closed for 2010.

Saul Kamen Award

The purpose of this award is to honor those individuals demonstrating exemplary leadership and contributions to the advancement of oral healthcare for persons with special needs. This award is named after Dr. Saul Kamen, a dentist who devoted his career to improving oral healthcare for individuals of all ages with special needs. Nominations closed for 2010.

Chasko Award

The purpose of this award is to recognize one individual who demonstrates service to SCDA in the area of hospital dentistry that is far beyond the customary expectations fo the elected or appointed positions the individual has held. This person is an individual who embodies the finest qualities of character, dedication and ethical standards exemplified by Lawrence J. Chasko. Nominations closed for 2010.

Student Awards

ADPD/SCDA Student Awards and Recognition Program

The Academy of Dentistry for Persons with Disabilities Student Awards and Recognition Program was instituted to encourage the sensitivity and sensibility of the dental profession and allied health professionals toward the needs of persons with disabilities and special patient populations.  The Student Awards and Recognition Program seeks to recognize dental and dental hygiene students in any year of their education.  It is designed to justly award and publicize the special projects, achievements and aptitudes of those individuals demonstrating a sincere interest in the needs of persons with disabilities.
