Persons with Disabilities Fellowship Exam

The Academy of Dentistry for Persons with Disabilities (ADPD)has established a Fellowship certification program. The awarding of ADPD Fellowship indicates that a candidate has demonstrated through through a formal evaluation process that he/she possesses the education, training, experience, knowledge and commitment to advance dentistry for persons with disabilities in institutional, academic, community and private practice settings.

Next Exam Date: Thursday, April 18, 2013 in New Orleans, LA

Applications Due: February 15, 2013.

ADPD Fellowship Chair: Dr. Sheldon Bernick

Candidates for AAPD Fellowship after having their application approved will be evaluated by the committee at a forthcoming meeting of the organization. The evaluation will consist of:

  • Objective, mutliple choice examination.
  • Oral interview or presentation which can be a case presentation, table clinic, poster presentation, research presentation or a presentation about your facility's preventive program. This presentation could also be publishable.

A. Compassion and respect for the patient.
B. Thinking outside of the box while utilizing all classical principles of dentistry.
C. Never straying from the principles of dentistry as taught at the undergraduate level.
